Post Graduate Mental Health Nurse Program

We offer opportunities for graduate nurses working with us to complete a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Nursing Practice, Mental Health in conjunction with our affiliate universities - University of Melbourne and RMIT University.

Aims

The aim of both the University of Melbourne or RMIT University Graduate Diploma programs is to provide nursing students with the theoretical knowledge and skills to practice in their specialty area at an advanced beginner level.

Subjects are delivered using a variety of teaching methods. This includes a combination of lectures, tutorials, clinical simulation, online learning and worksheets.

Employment

To undertake the our Post Graduate Mental Health Nurse Program you must be employed with us. All positions are full-time. Part-time hours may be negotiated in extenuating circumstances.

Employment conditions are based on the Nurses (Victorian Public Health Sector) Award. If part-time employment is required, this can be negotiated with the Post Graduate Nursing Program Coordinator in collaboration with the nurse unit manager of the area.

How to apply

To apply, you must be a registered nurse who has completed a Mental Health Graduate Nurse Program.
