Who we are
We are a public mental health service for people living in northern and western metropolitan Melbourne.
What we do
We deliver a comprehensive range of specialist, community and hospital-based mental health services for youth, adult and aged people who are experiencing, or are at risk of developing a serious mental illness.
Services are delivered through six programs spanning 32 sites across the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne.

We support research in our youth, adult and aged persons services, and undertake a number of major research programs.
We work with people who have a range of diagnoses such as:
- bipolar disorder
- mood disorders
- eating disorders
- personality disorders
- anxiety disorders
- those at risk of harm to themselves or others
Sometimes people have more than one disorder, including drug and alcohol related issues.
We provide clinical mental health services to people living in the cities of Moreland, Hume, Melton, Brimbank, Moonee Valley, Melbourne, Darebin and Whittlesea in metropolitan Melbourne.
Our services are delivered from a range of locations, including most major hospitals within these areas, and a range of community-based clinics.

Our 1,800 person strong workforce is primarily comprised of the disciplines of medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, social work, administration and support roles. Multidisciplinary teams of professionals work in all areas of the service.
The combination of these specialist staff together with strong academic partnerships, has proven to be the best way of providing a sustainable high quality mental health service to north-west Melbourne.
